We were delighted when it was announced that Brittany Ferries

of the Daily Telegraph. It goes to show our efforts to constantly
upgrade our services have paid off.
Our ferry routes have been carefully chosen to take you so
much closer to Holiday France and Spain. There's a wide choice
of sailings from Plymouth, Poole and Portsmouth so you can

There's another advantage too -our arrival ports are attractive
resorts with easy access to the major road networks in France
and Spain that make driving on the continent so much easier
than you might imagine.
It's easy to work out the savings for yourself.
By taking your car with you, not only can you take all your

can be forgotten, you've got ultimate freedom and flexibility,
and there are other savings to be made with Brittany Ferries
too.
You can save on insurance and there are special deals on

Val de Loire
Barfleur
Normandie
Quiberon
Duc de Normandie
Arriving on the Portsmouth - Caen route in summer 2004 is
our magnificent new flagship, the Mont St Michel. Covering
an area the size of two football pitches and representing
an investment of some £80 million, it will offer superb
shopping, dining, cinemas, a special area for teenagers and
more comfortable cabins than ever before.
PORTSMOUTH
If you're crossing to Caen or St Malo, then Portsmouth is
ideal. It's closer to central London than Dover, via the M3
or A3. Wherever you're coming from, access to the ferry port
is easy, and the terminal has the usual commission-free bureau
de change, gift shop, bar and cafeteria.
This maritime city has lots to offer if you have time: historic
ships, Gunwharf Quay and Solent Marina, for example, and there
is a choice of harbour side pubs and restaurants in the old
part of town.
And when the ship's whistle blows, you'll have a grandstand
view of the naval dockyard and historic ships as you cruise
away to France.
POOLE
For sailings to Cherbourg, Poole is your best option -easily
accessible, with a choice of routes into town where the port
is well signed. At the terminal there are commission-free
bureau de change facilities, car and caravan parking and,
in the summer months, a restaurant and bar.
Poole is an old and interesting place to explore. The Town
Quay has numerous pubs and restaurants, and there are award-winning
beaches close by. As you sail out of the huge harbour -the
second largest natural harbour in the world the views of the
islands, shoreline and distant hills are truly spectacular,
and there are some multi-million pound waterside homes to
admire as well.
PLYMOUTH
For sailings to Roscoff in Brittany and Santander in Spain,
Plymouth is the place to head for. Easily reached by motorways
and expressways from the North, Midlands and Wales, the ferry
port itself is close to the centre of town. At the terminal,
there is free car parking if you're not taking your vehicle
with you, a cafe for snacks and drinks, and a commission-free
bureau de change operated by Brittany Ferries.
If you've time to spare, the town is well worth exploring.
You can stroll on Plymouth Hoe, with its views of Drake's
Island, or visit the historic Barbican, where there's a good
selection of places to eat and drink.
