... Because nobody does it better! We are proud to put our experience to work in planning your holiday. Our brochure includes many standard 7 and 14 night holidays, BUT we can tailor make a holiday to suit you. For example take a short 5 night break or stay 10 nights in Bermuda, after a short stay in New York or Boston.

... Because we treat you as an individual! It’s the little things that mean a lot – such as private VIP transfers direct to your hotel, such as pre-booking seat numbers on the aircraft for you when available, such as sending you a wide range of information on Bermuda before you go.

... Because we are the top independent tour operator to Bermuda and we earned that position by caring for our clients.

... Because we know how very important it is for you to choose the right hotel. To help achieve this we are always delighted to discuss your choice in detail before you book. Together we can get it right! We know our hotel partners well, they strive to ensure guests comfort and enjoyment.

The Bermudas and the People

Some 600 miles from the coast of the USA and some 1000 miles north from the more frenetic tempo of the Caribbean lies Bermuda, Britain’s oldest colony. The 150 small islands, the largest joined by causeways and bridges, make up this serenely beautiful and colourful sub-tropical garden paradise. The islands, only 21 miles long, are encircled by delightful coves, inlets and beaches of fine pink coral sand all lapped by the clear blue waters of the Atlantic. Everywhere white washed roofs top delightful pastel painted homes all surrounded by well kept gardens prolific with hibiscus, oleander, and bougainvillea. Mark Twain wrote ‘Visitors on their way to heaven call . . . and think they have already arrived’.

Whether you explore by bus, ferry, or scooter you’ll notice how relaxed the pace of life is, how manicured and affluent the island is, and how cheerful the welcome. Bermuda is a lovely place with a calm ‘laid back’ approach to life. It is very simple to slip into this ‘easy’ style, thus ensuring a truly relaxed holiday.

The Bermudian Islands and Parishes

The most important thing about Bemudians is that they are warm, friendly, helpful people – all you have to do is ask! Please do, because everyone wants your holiday to be perfect.

Of course Bermuda is by no means inexpensive but it most assuredly is excellent value. This value is in part, because of the whole island experience – its beauty, safety, quality of service, courtesy and cleanliness – Bermuda reminds us of Britain in the 1950’s with an American accent! Prestige Holidays offers a choice ranging from top class deluxe resort hotels, or the privacy of a cottage colony to family self catering apartments and small hotels. All are well known to us.

If you have a favourite hotel in Bermuda that we have not included, we will be delighted to quote to suit your requirements. We are always more than willing to help find the right hotel for you. All you need to do is ask!

Helpful Hints

Shopping

Bermuda offers a range of sophisticated shopping from around the world – Scottish woollens, porcelain from Limoges, British tweeds, Irish linen, Italian leather, Belgian lace and gold, beautifully worked by local craftsmen. Don’t forget local black rum, jewellery and paintings. Duty free goods can be ordered at various outlets in Hamilton at least two days before departure. These are then delivered to the airport, you collect them after clearing Passport Control. There is also a small duty free shop at the airport.

Dress Code and Climate

In the semi-tropical temperate climate, guests will need summer weight clothing April to mid-November, and during the cooler period December to late March light woolens and a raincoat are advisable for evenings. Bermuda is quite conservative and some restaurants and night spots expect a jacket and tie in the evening.

Currency

The Bermuda dollar is pegged to the US dollar. Bermuda dollars, US dollars and $ travellers cheques (as cash) are accepted everywhere. Credit cards are accepted at most restaurants, shops and hotels.

Representation in Bermuda

Larger hotels provide information and excursions through the guest relations desk. The smaller properties are generally run by the owners who are happy to offer advice. We do not have a representative who calls on you, but our local agent is always available and will telephone you shortly after your arrival. Their telephone number will be on your itinerary.

Electricity

110 volt 60 cycle alternating current, the same as the U.S.A.
